Here is the Lords of the Fallen Travels Resumed trophy guide which will help you liberate Sparky from Gerlinde’s captivity which requires you to find 3 tablets then return them to Gerlinde with the final tablet needing to be handed to Sparky much to Gerlinde’s disgust. The tablets are useful items which initially expand the inventory Gerlinde will have as well as allow you to place Runes in upgrades weapons, shields and catalysts dramatically increasing their efficiency. The steps you need to take to free Gerlinde then collect the 3 Tablets are:
Free Gerlinde
Location: Pilgrim’s Perch, Vestige of Blind Agatha.
Work your way down through Pilgrim’s Perch from the Vestige of Blind Agatha, remove the Umbral Entity then go down to the lower level and drop down taking out the Knight. Collect the Cell Key from the Knight’s corpse then speak to Gerlinde agreeing to free her from the cell. Continue through the game then the next time you fast travel to Skyrest Bridge you will be able to find Gerlinde up the left set of stairs as you face away from the Vestige of Ethryg.
Cracked Rune Tablet
Location: Fitzoy’s Gorge, Vestige of the Pale Butcher.
The Cracked Rune Tablet can be found by going through to Fitzroy’s Gorge and staying right down the hill to the cavern. Go into Umbral and cross the bridge at the top of the area then stay right and go back down to the end of the tunnel where you can collect the Cracked Rune Tablet. Give the Tablet to Gerlinde in Skyrest Bridge.
Chipped Rune Tablet
Location: Lower Calrath, Vestige of Doln.
Defeat the Spurned Progeny boss then rest at the Vestige of Doln, make your way through to the end of the mining district, go pass the Ruiner and drop down to open the door. Head down the stairs then defeat the Proselyte Knight and the Pilgrim where you can then safely collect the Chipped Rune Tablet from the fireplace. Return the Chipped Rune Tablet to Gerlinde in Skyrest Bridge.
Rune Tablet
Location: Tower of Penance, Vestige of Brother Jeremiah.
Enter the Tower of Penance region then go to the top of the Tower and platform down to the first metal floor and open the double doors back to the bridge where you will have defeated the Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho boss. Deal with any enemies then re-enter the Tower and go what will now be your left to the chest where the Rune Tablet can be found.
Give The Rune Tablet To Sparky
Location: Skyrest Bridge, Vestige of Ethryg.
You will have a choice to make once you get the Rune Tablet, you can give it to Gerlinde which WILL NOT UNLOCK TRAVELS RESUMED but will will give you a decent discount at her shop. If you want to unlock Travels Resumed you need to give the Rune Tablet to Sparky which will infuriate Gerlinde causing her to double her prices and tell you to fuck off at every given opportunity so give the Tablet to Sparky on your first playthrough.
