Here is the Lords of the Fallen Vengeful Reflection trophy guide which will help you Beckon Isaac in the fight against the Lightreaper which will only work if you follow the steps below and die to the Lightreaper in the first 2 (3 if you haven’t got the latest patches installed) encounters which given how tough this guy can be won’t be hard to do. You will also need to activate Stigma’s and even defeat Isaac as part of his questline in a completely optional area. Follow these steps to ensure you don’t miss any parts of Isaac’s questline which once completed will unlock the very powerful Dark Crusader class. Although you will need to start a completely new playthrough so time > reward won’t be worth it for most players.
Collect The Flayed Skin
Location: Abandoned Redcopse, Vestige of Ranik.
Once you have defeated the Holy Bulwark Knight go right to the end of the path and collect the Flayed Skin. You will need to come back here later so remember the location.
Lose To The Lightreaper
Location: Fitzroy’s Gorge, Vestige of the Pale Butcher / Vestige of Betrayed Eliard.
Head across the bridge you fight the Ruiner on then go down into the Courtyard where the Lightreaper will ambush you. Ensure you lose the fight.
Activate Isaac's Stigma
Location: Fitzroy’s Gorge, Vestige of the Pale Butcher / Vestige of Betrayed Eliard.
Once you have collected your Vigor after losing to the Lightreaper proceed through the cemetery pass the Proselyte Knight then down through the tower. As you head towards the Umbral bridge go into Umbral and activate the Stigma on the main path before crossing the bridge.
Activate The Fief Stigma
Location: Fief of the Chill Curse, Vestige of Svornil.
Once you have access to the Fief of the Chill Curse head up to the Vestige of Svornil, activate then go into Umbral and activate the Stigma in front of the Vestige.
Lose To The Lightreaper Again
Location: Fief of the Chill Curse, Vestige of Loash.
Go through to the ice field after defeating the Hollow Crow boss and going down through the tower with the beacon where the Lightreaper will ambush you again. Ensure you die to him.
Activate The Loash Stigma
Location: Fief of the Chill Curse, Vestige of Loash.
Head back to the ice field and collect your Vigor having left it from your Lightreaper loss then go out of the ice field and slightly right up the slope. Before taking a left to follow the path go into Umbral and activate the Stigma on the main path.
Activate The Dieter Stigma
Location: Pilgrim’s Perch, Vestige of Dieter.
Unlock the door to the left of the Vestige of Blind Agatha with the Pilgrim’s Perch Key you can either purchase from Stomund for 18,000 Vigor or he will leave it for you after you have been through the Fief and Sunless Skein regions. Follow the path up to where you’re in a passage with a Hound and a Knight, put them down then go right, up the stairs. Follow the path outside and take a left to find the Vestige of Dieter you should activate then once you’re all set go down the hill to the end and climb on top of the mound. Defeat the Holy Bulwark Knight before phasing into Umbral where you can then activate the Stigma overlooking the ground below.
Defeat The Paladin's Burden Boss
Location: Pilgrim’s Perch, Vestige of Dieter.
Rest at the vestige of Dieter as you did before activating the previous Stigma then go down the hill this time taking a left to the end of the path where a Sin-Piercer and her Hounds will attack you. Put them all down then go into Umbral and look left where you will be able to pull the bridge across which leads to a large Umbral platform. Activate the Stigma on this platform which then spawns in the Paladin’s Burden boss. Defeat him.
Collect The Paladin Set
Location: Abandoned Redcopse, Vestige of Ranik.
Return to the very first Vestige in the game and head back to where you obtained the Flayed Skin at the very start of this questline. Now that you have defeated the Paladin’s Burden boss you will have the Umbral-Tinged Flayed Skin which will allow you to open the gate in Umbral then walk down to the end of the slope and collect the Paladin’s set which will give you the:
- Paladin’s Sword.
- Paladin Helm.
- Paladin Armour.
- Paladin Gauntlets.
- Paladin Legging.
Beckon Isaac
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of Ethryg.
Once you have the Rune of Adyr from the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters go back to Skyrest Bridge then up and out through Pieta’s arena, through the enemies to the double doors which will now be open in the top left corner and work down to Upper Calrath. Take out the Skinstealer and Infernal Enchantress before going into the wine cellar. Take out the enemies in here and be careful of the Mines as you make your way back out the other side. Go down the stairs then BEFORE opening the doors Beckon Isaac. For me he was on the right side of the doors but it may be different for you if you are doing other NPC quests at the same time. Ensure it says Beckon Isaac BEFORE you click confirm then Beckon him in.
Defeat The Lightreaper
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of Ethryg.
Enter the Courtyard and defeat the Lightreaper. it won’t matter is Isaac dies in the fight but if you die in the fight ensure you re-Beckon Isaac in before going through the fight again. With the fight complete and the Lightreaper down as long as you have summoned Isaaac you will then have fulfilled the requirements for completing his questline.
Rewards
Once you have defeated the Lightreaper you will have already collected the Paladin’s Set and Sword. In addition you can now use the Dark Crusader class, however, as mentioned at the top of the guide you will now need to begin a completely new playthrough with a new character which to be honest I really can’t recommend you doing but you do you. You will also be able to collect the Paladin’s Pendant from the flames to the right of the Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim in Bramis Castle when you get there behind where the Ruiner Spawns. It will be the item in the top left corner of the small fire field.
